Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Habit Fusion ("the App") is a habit tracking application developed by Paraschiv Arthur ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Habit Fusion is designed as a local-first application — your habit data is stored on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Habit Data: Habit names, descriptions, categories, scheduling preferences, completion records, skip records, notes, streaks, and achievement progress. All of this data is stored locally on your device.
- Reminder Preferences: Time-based and location-based reminder settings you configure for your habits.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Crash Reports (via Sentry): When the App crashes, we collect technical information including device model, operating system version, app version, and stack traces. No personal or habit data is included in crash reports.
- Anonymous Usage Analytics (via PostHog): We collect anonymous usage metrics such as screen views, app lifecycle events (launch, foreground, background), and device type. We do not collect habit names, completion data, notes, or any personal content through analytics.
- Subscription Data (via RevenueCat): When you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes your subscription status using an anonymous identifier. We do not directly collect or store payment information — all payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store.
2.3 Location Data
Location data is collected only if you choose to create location-based reminders. When enabled:
- We collect coordinates (latitude/longitude), radius, and a location name you provide.
- Location data is stored locally on your device and is used exclusively to trigger local reminder notifications when you enter or leave a specified area.
- Location data is not transmitted to any external servers or third-party services.
- You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device's Settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Habit Tracking: To display, manage, and track your habits, completions, streaks, and achievements.
- Reminders: To send you local notifications at scheduled times or when you arrive at/leave configured locations.
- Widgets: To display your today's habits on your iOS home screen via the widget extension. Widget data is shared securely between the App and the widget through an App Group container on your device.
- Crash Reporting: To identify and fix bugs and improve App stability.
- Anonymous Analytics: To understand general usage patterns and improve the App experience.
- Subscription Management: To verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All habit data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- There are no user accounts, passwords, or login credentials.
- There is no cloud sync or remote server storage of your habit data.
- Data is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing.
- Data persists until you delete individual habits, reset all data from Settings, or uninstall the App.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Sentry — Crash reporting. Receives device info, OS version, and crash logs (no personal data).
- PostHog — Anonymous analytics. Receives anonymous usage events and device type (no habit data).
- RevenueCat — Subscription management. Receives an anonymous user ID and purchase status.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With the widget extension on your device (via App Group container).
- With the third-party services listed above, limited to the anonymous/technical data described.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have full control over your data:
- Export: Export all your data in JSON format via Settings.
- Delete: Delete individual habits or reset all data from Settings.
- Notifications: Enable or disable notifications at any time.
- Location: Grant or revoke location permissions through iOS Settings.
- Analytics: PostHog and Sentry collect only anonymous/technical data with no personal identifiers.
- Uninstall: Deleting the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
8. Children's Privacy
Habit Fusion is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. International Data Transfers
While your habit data remains on your device, the anonymous analytics and crash data processed by our third-party service providers (Sentry, PostHog, RevenueCat) may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards for data protection.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
